UIQ Technology today announced the expansion of its Developer Program, with additional membership levels, technical support and new features.

Starting today, a new level of membership, the “Premium” level, is introduced. The Premium membership incorporates all the Community membership benefits, plus 5 technical support tickets, early access to content and SDKs, additional content, discounted offers and co-marketing opportunities with UIQ Technology. On top of this, all developers are offered commercial technical support on a per incident basis to enable gain of direct solutions from UIQ Technology engineers. The Premium membership is available for anyone for a registration fee of $500.

The UIQ Developer Program was launched at the Symbian Smartphone Show in October 2005 with the purpose of providing support resources for developers targeting all mobile phones based on UIQ 3. Through the web portal users have access to all the information and services needed to support a developer community. Anyone can register for free as a Community member of the UIQ Developer Program to gain access to downloadable material such as SDKs (Software Development Kits) and the discussion forum.

Along with the new Premium membership level and technical support, a new forum solution, RSS feed, and additional features based on developer feedback have also been added to the web portal. UIQ Technology will later this year also launch an additional “Professional” membership level that will supply members with NDA-level information as well as marketing and business development support.

The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application.
