Cibenix today announced the availability of Cibenix DSD 3.0, a next generation On-Device Portal (ODP) platform supporting Data Service Search and Discovery.

Cibenix DSD 3.0 enables the operator to make data services more visible to and more accessible by their subscribers and is the first platform to provide the power and flexibility to support such deployments:

  • The extensible client architecture supports operators in deploying advanced ODP solutions across a wide range of devices and multiple device operating systems – Symbian S60 and UIQ, Windows Mobile 2003 SE and 5.0, and Java MIDP2
  • The solution provides unrivalled flexibility in the design of rich-media, service-centric User Interfaces (UIs) that meet very specific operator branding and functionality requirements
  • Lower cost of ownership is provided across the entire solution, with a single point of management and provisioning of the client population, sophisticated network and device management, and low-touch integration with the operator’s existing operating infrastructure

The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application.
