UIQ 3 development: Tips & code samples

By Dusan Belic on Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 at 4:58 AM PST In Developer, Symbian

As you’re probably already know, there are two places on the web for UIQ 3 developer – UIQ Developer Community Web Portal and Sony Ericsson Developer World (I’ll use SEDW – it’s shorter). The latter was growing steadily and therefor I’ve decided to point some of you guys and gals to it.

The “tips” section on SEDW contains Tips, Tricks & Code samples related to Symbian OS UIQ for creating C++, Personal Java (pJava) and Java Native Interface (JNI) applications for Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) smartphones.

The content is divided among several categories, including Media, Communication, UI & Controls, Tools and Other. So knock yourself out and develop some cool applications for UIQ 3 phones. :)

Thanks for mentioning the UIQ developer community portal.

FYI, all the tips on the portal are now regrouped in the knowledgebase and other recent changes should make information available such as the tutorials, guides and whitepapers easier to find.
