Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE)’s long-waited Walkman-branded smartphones has been approved by the FCC. It’s been a while from their announcement, and I hope that two smartphones will hit the US stores soon.
The W950i brings 4 GB of storage, the Symbian OS UIQ 3 user interface, high-speed connectivity options (3G), music control keys and Sony Ericsson’s famous jogdial. The phone can even work without the SIM card, allowing you to listen to the music while you’re in the airplane (for instance). On the other hand, I suppose that W958c is the W950i without 3G support (Sony Ericsson already used this strategy for its M600i / M608c combination).
Anyway, both Sony Ericsson W950i and W958c are great additions to the Symbian ecosystem and, again, I’m looking forward to see them in action. ![]()
