New smartphone applications regularly reach out to touch unexpected areas of our lives – areas that we previously thought had nothing to do with smartphones. In his latest insight article David Wood EVP of Research at Symbian takes us through some of the exciting new services available, making it possible for everyone to do more: share more, achieve more, watch more, work more, listen more, play more, live more.
In each case, a relatively low-tech part of life is in the process of being subtly transformed by a relatively unanticipated new application or service on advanced mobile phones. For instance, David argues that smartphone could have its place in such areas of life as golf, TV recording, travel (checking into hotels), health, gambling.
