In Events, Nokia

Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s PR works round the clock, as today Nokia announced “Perspectives of London”. It is an unique exhibition that brings together the cutting-edge technology of the Nokia N93 advanced mobile video device with the creative talent of four artists to produce films that epitomise the capital city from their different perspectives.

Nokia N93The four artists to take up the challenge are Jefferson Hack, founder of Dazed & Confused, Another Magazine and Another Man; Naomi Cleaver, designer, writer and TV presenter; Tom Dixon, creative director of Habitat, design company Artek and his namesake design company – Tom Dixon; and Nigel Coates, head architectural professor at the Royal College of Art.

The inspiration that informs each of the artists and their work has resulted in four very different films – from Jefferson Hack’s study of free-runners in Dérive, to Naomi Cleaver’s London from Horseback. Each of the films shows the artists’ own powerful feelings of connection with London, as well as the relationship between the people captured in the film with the city and with each other. Nokia E60 reviews

By Dusan Belic on Thursday, October 5th, 2006 at 8:34 AM PST
In Devices, ESeries, Nokia, Symbian

Nokia E60One of the Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s ESeries range, the E60 brings Nokia’s S60 platform to the business community. Beside the E50, which is the smallest in the series, E60 is also one of the not-that-much-talked-about smartphones. The reason is obvious – it lacks camera and doesn’t sports a QWERTY keyboard. However, it is a solid business smartphone, powered by the Symbian OS v9.1, which gives a business user access to the growing number of available software. Beside that, E60 also sports a wide array of connectivity options including Infrared, USB, Bluetooth and WLAN. Conservative business users, who are looking for the simple phone, should consider E60, as it offers all the features one can image.

In Content, Symbian

A very special thanks to Tommi from Tommi’s S60 Applications Blog who unveiled us the new great-looking Turquoise theme that will be used in forthcoming Nokia (NYSE: NOK) devices based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 (i.e. Nokia N95). And yes, this theme works on your S60 3rd edition handset like Nokia E61, N80… you name it.

Turquoise theme

Unlike many other fancy themes which you love at first sight, but later on you just want to get it out of your phone ASAP, Turquoise theme looks great AND is very simple. This means that you’re getting a beautiful theme that is actually usable.

Finally, here’s the download link. And… Thanks again Tommi. :)
