Nokia 9300(i)/9500 firmware update

Finally, a firmware update for Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Series 80-based devices. The AllAboutSymbian guys even think this is a final lease of life for the platform.
Of course, the update is NOT available online. In order to refresh their devices, Nokia 9300/9300i/9500 smartphone owners must visit an official Nokia service center.
The new firmware (v6.27) update includes:
- Messaging: the smallest zoom level now shows 4 lines, faster opening of SMS and email messages
- The device lock can now be activated without a password
- New browser engine, web navigation to next link by using tab key added
- 2GB memory card support
- Java application memory handling improved
- Video/music playback improved
- General stability improved
Sheesh, clearly some of you jackasses can’t write, but try to read what the page says. There is no easy upgrade for the 9300i – Nokia Service needs to do it for you. And posting your email is just asking for spam.

I took my phone to the nokia centre they upgraded the software told me if it gives a problem bring it back
you will not find anything anywhere on the net (searched for days on end) Do it the straight way

1)Switch off your 9300i
2)Hold Ctrl+Shift+F & switch on your 9300i
3)Now it will ask your permission to format the system.

I cant believe the shit i read here. If you are not an idiot you can try to google it. Or try rapid library (of course you got to box trough the files) or even torrents!!! Everything is possible if you want to. Only thing i`m not sure is the flashing process itself. Maybe you need a HW cable to connect the phone and PC, BT may not be the best solution for this kind of operation. And Carphone Cells? The smallest problem is to find a good service center where the technical personel cant do anything wrong. Best to have a written paper “Yes, if we trash the telly, we`ll give you another one”. If someone has trouble giving me that insurance i`ll have nothing left to say. —simple, if you got a cable for USB, go ahead and try your luck. Anyway i would not like to spare some cash which i could regret later…..

The article was released in 2006!!! And all it took was 4 sec. of google search, sometimes i can`t believe the simplicity of some peoples intelligence. I came here by accident, so whoever will respond negatively to thi, don`t even bother, i think i won`t be back any time soon….

i was browsing and all of a sudden my browser stopped responding ..when i try again it tells me system corrupted … it sucks to see nokia make this phones… i use 9300 Finland..
