Why does Nokia have to use Real Player for webcasts?

The Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Open studio happened in NY a couple of months ago, after googling around a little bit I found the keynote address! I love watching these things, and it seems like I can measure memories by how much time has passed since I’ve listened to Bill Gates speak at CES in Vegas.
Sadly, I can’t watch this video since I get a time out every 5 minutes. How nice of them to encode a video in a format that is hated on the internet so much people would actually save themselves the install of Real Player and just choose to ignore the content.
I have Real Player Alternative installed, which is supposed to be just as good … but it isn’t. Will someone throw me a torrent of an avi or wmv file? Please?
Feel free to check out the keynote here: Nokia Open Studio
