Mopofeli.A is an SMS spying tool that runs on Symbian S60 2nd Edition devices. When Mopofeli.A is installed on the device, it will forward all incoming and outgoing SMS messages to an external number specified within the software’s configuration file. When active on the device, Mopofeli.A hides it’s process so that it is not visible in the Symbian process list.

I have strong feelings on antivirus software. I think that the best one can’t be purchased, its called common sense. Don’t go to shady websites, don’t open up every single executable you receive, and don’t connect to the internet unless you are behind some sort of hardware firewall. I’ve been antivirus software free for over 5 years! No spyware, no slowdowns, no performance penalties, and best of all more cash in my pocket. Anytime I do a reinstall of Windows, usually once a year, I install the trial version of NOD32 to see if I committed the sin of stupidity and got infected. Proud to say I haven’t yet!

Yeah, common sense dictates turn-off your bluetooth symbian phones when not in use. Install firewall for mobile and above all do not put something in your wireless device which you do not recognize.

Exactly! It frustrates me to no end that a few companies are basically selling software that says:

“Don’t think about your computers safety, we will do it for you!”
