Nokia stock rises on handset report, leading the telecom stocks

Shares of communications-equipment makers were mostly higher Wednesday, with Nokia Corp. rising nearly 3% thanks to a bullish report on mobile phone shipments, while shares of the largest telecommunications providers fell.
