India the next China? Nokia operations are 11% cheaper in India

The Minister used the opportunity to make a sales pitch for Tamil Nadu. He pointed out to Ericsson officials that Nokia (NYSE: NOK), which produces 40 lakh mobile phones a month from its plant near Chennai, found its operations here 11 per cent cheaper than in China.

This really is news to me. I always thought that China was the cheapest when it came to everything, and that all the cool kids where investing into business there. I was wrong. Something to keep an eye on indeed.
