The new applications – like healthcare on the move – will be on 4G as it will enable ultra high speed data transfers at over 100 megabits per second. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has come up with a 4G mobile phone design where you will actually wear the phone as a wristband. The wrist phone can work independently as a phone or work with a bluetooth style headpiece.

Think about that for a moment, if you really can get 100 mbits up and down … you are always going to be on the grid. Speed like that will be needed if we’re going to want to have HDTV in the palm (NSDQ: PALM) of our hands.
