Nokia is the greenest company

By Stefan Constantinescu on Wednesday, December 6th, 2006 at 4:16 pm PST In Corporate News

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) leads the way on eliminating toxic chemicals. After eliminating PVC from their mobile range, Nokia will launch the first phones without components containing BFRs from the start of 2007. But Nokia loses points for failing to provide a clear timeline for the elimination of PVC from all its products range - including network equipment. Nokia gains points for sharpening up its understanding of what the precautionary principle means in practice. Nokia gets top marks on its support for Individual Producer Responsibility, which means that each company should take care of the electronic waste from its own-brand discarded products.

Congratulations! I’m proud that you aren’t a filthy dirty company, I’m not a tree hugger, but I do appreciate camping with my mates every once in a while.
