AllAboutSymbian’s Rafe Blandford had a chance to get his hands on the recently announced Nokia 6290. The new mid-tier clamshell quad-band GSM smartphone runs Symbian OS with S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and sports a 2 MP camera, FM radio, stereo speakers and dual screen.
In its preview, Rafe found that the size of the device (94 x 50 x 20.8 mm) matches feature phones, yet the Nokia 6290 gives retains most of the power of a smartphone. Furthermore, he discusses the clamshell form factor and its “success” with S60 devices.
