With the holiday shopping season approaching, Nokia commissioned a comprehensive design program for the Nokia flagship stores. The preferred custom design included window displays, shopping bags, gift cards, acetate change-outs and point of sale graphics. While Nokia loved the proposed designs for their retail spaces, the designs presented a challenge in that they were difficult to fabricate and get to market.

Nokia needed to find a partner who could efficiently and effectively custom fabricate all of these components and deliver and install them at retail locations around the world.

“Having done some smaller projects in the past for Nokia, they were familiar with our imaginative solutions and our dedicated approach to meeting our clients’ needs,” said Patrick Dahan, Vice-President Sales, Kubik. “Having offices in both Europe and North America provides us with insights into those key markets and an ability to very quickly work anywhere in the world. That type of access and insight was a key part of our ability to deliver this program for Nokia.”

The collaborative effort of the two Kubik offices provided Nokia with on-the-ground expertise and support. Amsterdam handled Nokia’s retail space needs in Helsinki, Hong Kong and Moscow while the Toronto office was responsible for New York, Chicago and Mexico City.

The in-store window displays, bags, gift cards and other materials were launched by Nokia at the end of November and will run through the holiday season to January 2007.

Considering the closest Nokia flagship store is a day or two drive away it’s a sad fact that I probably won’t be able to see these new designs.
