Inventec Appliances is said to have landed US$500 million worth of handset orders from Nokia, so it should boost the company’s handset shipments to over 20 million units in 2007, according to a Chinese-language Cnyes.com report.

Inventec was cited by the media as declining to comment on the speculation. According to the report, the orders are mostly placed for mid-range and entry-level handsets, and the total shipments may reach 10 million units.

More handsets being made means more handsets being sold, means more money, so I guess the only thing to say is bravo Nokia!
