Nokia 5500 isn’t catching on in Iran; 5500 more expensive than N70?!

Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s 5500 sports mobile sets that were presented to world markets in May 2006 have receive a cold welcome in Iran.

According to Taliya News reporter’s Wednesday report, most dealers believe the lack of interest of the Tehrani clients in 5500 sets is their lower competence and their higher prices compared to other similar set, that is Nokia’s N70.

5500 sports sets have lots of deficiencies compared to N70.

Their merely one camera, lack of flash projector and G3 capability has resulted in rejecting the Nokia Sports mobile sets, and choosing N70 instead, which is both cheaper and more practical in terms of side options.

I definitely think there is a problem if the 5500 is more expensive than th N70. I wouldn’t want to spend more money to get less features, would you?

Look in to this Nokia, something doesn’t add up, I just looked up the price of both devices online and the 5500 is a good $50-$75 cheaper.
