Nokia N93 vs Sony K800i image quality comparison

(You guys know exactly what a Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N93 looks like, here is the K800i; it certainly is sexy)
Whoa! This is a stunning comparison, thank you Symbian Freak! If you are in the market for a camera phone I highly recommend you read this article, even if it means you buy a Sony. Brand loyalty is horribly foolish, you should always buy the better product.
There is no doubt, after evaluating the k800i, it does meet the requirement of being a CyberShot! It has all the characteristic features of a CyberShot camera. It does have the well known Sony character found in their point and shoot digicams. Punchy sharp colours with alot of sharpening. As for shutter lag, the K800i I found has the least lag and focuses twice as fast as N73, and N93.
Compared to the N93 for straight out of camera photos, k800i trumps it just about in every way. For post processed N93 pictures, they both came on par. What Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) need though in their next firmware is the ability to control ISO sensitivity, which in commonly found in all it’s big brother CyberShot.

Dear Nokia: I hope you have a team, with a large budget, in R&D,
researching camera flash. This is the one thing (well two if you factor
in image stabilization) that is holding you guys back. Sony uses Xenon,
same thing my DLP uses as it’s light source. Interesting indeed.

Excellent read . . . Not that I’m a big fan of printing out photos, but in my experience the N93 shots make extraordinarily good prints. All that noise gives them a real ‘film’ feel.
I can’t agree with you James, I don’t like the film look. I prefer crisp sharp photos.
We are a long ways off however until we reach that point in camera phones. Maybe once the liquid lens is perfected. I don’t expect DSLR’s getting in to trouble any time soon.
absolutley correct had both phones , and decided to go with the sony , even though there were a few things i prefferd in the nokia , for e.g the screen , and also it being a symbian phone is a big plus .

Correct me if i’m wrong, but i think James was being sarcastic when he said he likes the noise in the picture, at least i hope he was.
