Anyone building an application that can control media center?

Just look at this remote control
I see no reason why it can’t be done on mobile phones today. ORB brings your media to you, why not make something that lets you control your media at home? Infact that’s a brilliant idea!
Dear Nokia (NYSE: NOK): Buy ORB

Hi there,
I agree totally with you! It would be great to be able to control all of your media at home with your phone.
But actually it would be cool to be able to control even more things in the home with the cell phone.
If we just build a sort of network at home and plug all media and technical stuff in the home into that network, only the sky is the limit for what we could do with it..
Imagine yourself getting awake and take your cellphone to turn on the coffee machine and poor up a hot bath for yourself….or actually why get awake, maybe you could enter that this should be done 10 minutes before the alarm goes off, so everything is ready when you get out of the bed….I would love that!! During the winter time it´s dark almost until 10 a.m here in Finland, so it would help a lot to get some help to get up in the mornings
Have a nice christmas
Cheers,
Henrik
Stefan,
Check out Salling Clicker or Bemused for s60v3 (I personally like Salling Clicker better). For s60v2 nothing beats MTvoid’s ControlFreak. All use Bluetooth (Bemused can use data, but I never got it to work)
That definitely makes sense. Mobile makers should produce a hub that allows for you to connect to your network and mobile carriers should promote the idea as well. The user would be able to control home operations from anywhere, mobile makers would sell more product, and carriers would make more money from such a service.
