Dear Nokia: Thanks for putting a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the N76

By Stefan Constantinescu on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at 8:20 PM PST In Devices

Sadly EDGE speeds are far from satisfactory for uploading video, and boy do I have a lot of good video on the N76. More on that later.

I just wanted to make this post to point out that Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is finally learning. Making an MP3 centric mobile that actually supports standard headphones … thank you!

The 5300 was close but they just had to use a smaller connector.

One more random fact: it doesn’t have a pop port! standard mini USB.

I have the spec sheets for the N76, N800 and N93i; they’ll be posted when I get home. If your impatient like me then I highly recommend you bookmark GSM Arena. They have the BEST website for looking up specifications on just about any GSM device created … ever.

Man, I love your blog and check it every day. But I think that when publishing something public like this you should also try to get the language right at all times. Especially when it comes to “you’re”, “your”, “their”, “they’re” and “there”.
I’m mentioning this because I notice on so many discussion forums and message boards that people seem to not know the differences between these words and use them at random because they all sound the same.
But don’t get me wrong: I love your blog!
    Cheers,
    Jake

You are forgetting N91 and N75 too (not sure which one will come out first, N75 or N76). Not music centric as such but 7390 also has 3.5mm. I may be forgetting another one or two.

  4. Thanks Joliet, if you ever see more errors on my part please point them out for me! It’s the only way I will learn.

I might just have to install Office 2007!
