Compal Communications Inc rejected a report that it has secured contracts from Nokia (NYSE: NOK) to design and produce two code-division multiple access (CDMA) handset models involving a total of 4 mln units.
The company said in a statement that it has never disclosed any information regarding clients or orders.
The brief statement followed a report in the Commercial Times that the Taiwan firm has won orders from Nokia and that shipments will begin from the fourth quarter of this year.
