		<description>It is hard to describe the signicance of having access to banking for people in rural areas such as those described in his blog. It&#039;s not only about maybe being able to start a new business with the benefit of a $50 (yes, $50 - that is probably a month and half worth of their &quot;income&quot;), but also for the first time having an identity, an account on your name.. Cell phones can be instrumental in this. Rural areas in Uganda and other places are sometimes, in fact, light years ahead of e.g. the US in terms of mobile banking. Now that&#039;s globalization in a good way for you! :)
