Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s double sliding N95 mobile set, that Company’s newest set, finally arrived in Iran.
World’s leading mobile set manufacturer’s N95 sets were presented to presented to world markets in September 2006 and very limited sales of it began in Tehran market as of last month at an average 12,000,000 rial price (around US $1200).
But as of the current week a limited number of them were presented at Tehran’s Jomhouri Street mobile phone market. The salesmen that have presented this set argue that N95’s presentation began a month ago in Dubai markets and some influential individuals imported a very limited number of them right then.
This set has many side features, including a five mega pixel camera and the detailed maps of 100 countries around the world.
The retail sale price of N95 with original serial number is currently 18,000,000 rials.

The rest of the world is still waiting. Then again I wouldn’t want to be in Iran right now, according to xe.com 18 million rials = $1,951.22! WOW!

wow… that is a lot of money! I don’t understand the serial number they are talking about with the US $700 difference.
Is that true?! Does that mean the N95 is finished?
Well, seems all kind of high tech ends up in Iran faster than expected.. lol..
