Hi there,

I saw you were discussing a lot about the CPU Speed Indice MobileZoo is giving.

First of all, you have to keep in mind that this score is related to both the actual CPU/memory speed and the Java Machine the handset is running. The test is actually how much computation the Java machine is able to do during one second.

If two captures makes the score varying can be explained by the fact that the Java Machine must perform some side-job during the capture (for exemple, garbage collect the phone memory).

This indice is still relevant when you want to compare two phone models, giving a clue about it’s averall user-percieved phone power.

Uploaded my Score minutes ago at http://mobilezoo.biz/homepagemobile.php?uploadid=17177 so around 85000 points - reseted my phone after a crash on saturday (so it should be still very fast) , so its a multiplier around 2 -> around 440mhz. But if you compare the points to Nokia N93, you can see a ratio of aroud 1:1. -> 320mhz

i think you calculation is wrong because E61 scored 119935 Points.
176609 / 119935 = 1.47
220Mhz*1.47= 323Mhz = same CPU as N93!

Actually E61 has 220MHz dual-chip ARM9 as Nokia writes in its Technical Library http://www.forum.nokia.com/document/Forum_Nokia_Technical_Library/contents/FNTL/Nokia_E61_and_Nokia_E62_have_different_hw_and_performance_characteristics.htm

hey cant wait for it to be announced!! man trying to decipher what the heck that site ment and wth are all those numbers gave me a headach. so would the screen be good? iam thinking that 160×160 is small!!

Stefan do you know if the e90 will have vibra and gsm850?

So is this the replacement for the Communicator — the 9300/9500? If so, sounds good. Sounds like a nice mix of features, taking what they learned from the 770/N800 and applying it to a phone.

I’m excited.
