I suggest Nokia visit the Microsoft booth at 3GSM

Windows Mobile Update: You can now download updates directly to the device as they are made available by Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT). This works just like the PC-based version, though I couldn’t test it since this is a beta and no updates are available.
Windows Mobile Marketplace: Along the same lines as above, users can now download applications and content directly to their device over the air using this new application. Again, it’s in beta so I couldn’t test this one either but the possibilities are endless here.

The possibilities are endless … I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Windows Mobile Update = S60v3FP1 OTA firmware updates, but maybe it could be more. I’m not going to 3GSM but I really am curious to see what Windows Mobile 6 has to bring to the table with this feature. Microsoft isn’t dumb.
Windows Mobile Marketplace = Download! application OR Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Catalogs. Microsoft has always loved developers, after all a platform is only as successful as the level of 3rd party support. Will Microsoft hit a home run and let developers showcase their applications? Will they implement a service similar to XBOX Live but for smart phones?
My rant about Nokia failing to expose customers to applications is out there.
My interest is peaked.
