Check out Nokia’s 3GSM site

Notice how the entire thing is made in flash, there isn’t a blog, there isn’t RSS, and the information hasn’t changed for almost 2 weeks?

It gets worse.

Since there wasn’t an RSS feed I signed up for the email updates. I got a message last night and didn’t think too much about it. Tommi got the same message and he flipped out.

Why? Nokia left the contact information of everyone who has signed up in plain sight!

I just opened up the email again and I can confirm that I can see the email addresses of everyone who has signed up for this newsletter.

This is pure idiocy. No other word for it. I-d-i-o-t!

I’m not in a position to apologize on behalf of Nokia, but personally, I’m appalled. You don’t do this. You simply don’t. If we do something like this, how do we expect people to trust us taking good care of their personal data?

Official Nokia spokespersons and people behind the site: please do something and fast.

Ps. I’ll send email to some of my contacts asap.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling Tommi!

Minor laugh: it is funny to see some Nokia employees have signed up for this newsletter. Working at the company I would think that you’ve seen or at least heard about everything that is going to happen at 3GSM.

Less than 85 hours until the press conference and I’m a little more than upset that Nokia would choose to subcontract something like this. You’re telling me that out of the thousands of employees you have you couldn’t have found someone passionate enough and asked them to open a wordpress account, walk around with a camera, and just share some information with the world?

That is exactly what you did at Nokia World with the "From the Floor" blog and let me be the first to say that it was a smashing success.

What happened from November until now?

Internet company? I smell bullshit.
