Video: Demo of Nokia’s youtube support

By Stefan Constantinescu on Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 at 12:23 PM PST In Videos

I don’t get it. Where does that list of videos come from? Can I search youtube’s servers? Then again I don’t have headphones so I can’t listen to what Symbian-Freak is saying.

Anyways, enjoy:

Here is another question: Why doesn’t Nokia (NYSE: NOK) get busy on making an application that will let me upload directly to youtube from my phone? That would be absolutely amazing.

    Wow, tat fast, RESPECT ;)

Anyway, I’ll try to answer on your questions.. .

“I don’t get it. Where does that list of videos come from? “:

Video centre is based on the RSS feeds, you have to subscribe (few channels are already available, more to come) to feed and than you can choose the videos from the list, there is no more options, all you can do is to play one of offered videos or try to refresh list to get something new.. . .

    “Can I search youtube’s servers?”:

Mo, there is no way to search over the YT sever from the Video Centre, all you have to do is to browser over the offered videos in the feed list.. . .

“Then again I don’t have headphones so I can’t listen to what Symbian-Freak is saying.”:

Ah, nothing especially, I was in hurry and made that video in the front of the café with my nervous girlfriend behind me ;) ) Also it was pretty noise, so I decide just to say few intro words and put some nice music in the background.

Last but not the least, as far as I know we can expect some kind of the mobile version of YT site shortly and than it will be possible to search over the YT server..

    Hope that helps,
    Teo (AKA Apoc’)

Let’s you upload to YouTube, Flickr, Shozu, Blip.tv and quite a few more… right after you snap a pic or shoot a vid, you get prompted to upload.

  3. what would be killer is if the subscription to YouTube and other services could be integrated with your account there so that subscribed channels automagically could be viewed on the mobile.

  4. isn’t there a size limit with shozu? i’ll have to try it one of these days. the web upload feature on my N is frankly fantastic for getting my stuff up on flickr.

never really had a need for shozu

  5. N73_user says:

You can connect camera to you PC as webcam via apps like Mobiola and upload directly to YouTube.

  6. I believe the limit to YouTube / Blip is 4MB which is small when you consider what you can shoot with things like the N95, 73 and 93… In fact now that I think about it that’s probably why something I moblogged the other day never made it… hmm. For photos though it’s killer to Flickr.
