Truphone now supports GTalk

By Dusan Belic on Thursday, February 15th, 2007 at 10:13 PM PST In Announcements, Services

TruphoneTruphone, a service that brings VoIP to your mobile phone, recently announced support for Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Talk. This means that you can call any of the many GTalk users for free from your mobile. And what’s more, they can call you for free too. Nice!

Now please add Skype support and make it work on the N93. :)

For goodness sake people, who cares about non-standard things like skype, its limitations render it largely a waste of time.
SIP is the global standard for VoIP, this is what you all need to be using!

But doesnt skype have the advantage of being a more “open” platform in that it is peer to peer rather than server based. I like the idea of less control over my data.
