James makes a fantastic point about camera phones: You always have it with you

I never really thought of that until now. Yes I love my Canon. It’s less than $200 and shoots amazing quality photographs even though it is 2 years old.
But I never bring it with me everywhere. My phone on the other hand …
Thanks for pointing that out James. It’s so obvious how could I have forgotten!
Along with making that point he posts a zip file with 6 of the best pictures he’s taken with his Nokia N93. The one on the left is my favorite.
It is great for a camera phone, but you can obviously make out the lack of detail in trees on the left and right sides.
However I’m reminded by the observation James made: I’ll always have my cellphone with me, my camera on the other hand is something I often forget to bring with me. Maybe I should look into an ELPH?

Err…. Dare I mention my own http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/Immediate_Action__capturing_the_moment_with_a_smartphone.php ?

Hey Steve . . . that’s a great article, sums up my own feelings on the subject nicely.
I’m surprised you didn’t think this aspect of mobile photo shooting. I drive taxi and often end up in places so beautiful I just have to capture them. I’m preferring video shooting capabilities over photo shooting nowadays, as N93 really shoots excellent video for a mobile device.
