James is quick to point out how loud the moving parts inside the N93i are. I agree, you can definitely hear it if you’re recording in a quite environment.
I do have to say tho, compared to the N93 the N93i is whisper quiet. I never owned anything more advanced than a Sony Hi8 camcorder so I can not compare mechanical noise to other, more modern, devices.
