Correction: Eurovision is nothing like American Idol

After I made the mistake of saying: "For all my American readers: Eurovision = American idol," I got 3 comments, 5 emails, and roughly 7 instant messages saying how absolutely wrong I was.
Seems like people really love that show!
I apologize for the mistake.

people defending eurovision, or AI? and whats up with the awful photo quality of the E65??

In my case: Nouvelle Star is the French version of American Idle, a show sold in differents countries by Fremantle Corp.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idol_series < - the Idol Series has 30 Spinoffs.
BTW, the 5th season takes off this wednesday
they “found” Christophe Willem last year and TV magazines start titling “Can they find better?” and I ask myself the same question !
Eurovision is usually complete and utter rubbish! It used to be good, in a kind of sad way, but now . . . well, let’s just say, it’s not good at all.
I totally agree with James…
The main difference between Idol and eurovision is that competition in eurovision is between countries…
Personally, i don’t like them both…
Eurovision is a pilitical contest and usually the countries who have good songs lose to the countries that payed lots of bucks.
American Idol is fair square since they judge everyone and choose a winner infront of the audience.
