This has been posted everywhere! Time to jump on the bandwagon.

Straight from Tommi’s blog:

Symbian-Guru and Symbian-Freak found via  HowardForums the YouTube Mobile site that Nokia announced back at 3GSM.

The URL apparently is "m.youtube.com"

Good detective work!

The site, however, seems to be limited to certain device models only. Symbian-Freak says it works at least on N73 and N93, but not (yet?) on N95.

I don’t have any insider info to share at this point, but stay tuned…

Update: the demo, viewable with any browser, is available here (via Nokia N95 blog)

Summary: Point your browser to http://m.youtube.com/?client=ytdemo

It works for me BUT Real Player will not let me use my WLAN connection to stream the videos. After staring at a loading screen for 30 seconds I simply closed the application.

“It works for me BUT Real Player will not let me use my WLAN connection to stream the videos.”

You probably already have, but I’ll suggest this anyways:
Have you tried changing your Real Player network settings?

    Menu>Media>Real Player>Options>Settings>Connection>Network>Default access point> …
    you get the idea…

correct Naveen John, I tried that

Why have people stopped crediting me for this? Ricky and Darla both threw my name on their posts, but I get no love from symbian-freak or here? :(

its working on my e61 over EDGE.. just fine..

“Point YOU’RE browser to.. ” should be “Point YOUR browser to..”.
Funny, this is the first time I’ve seen this mistake in reverse. It seems like at least 80% of all blogging and forum-posting people have forgotten (or never learned) the difference between “you’re”, “your” and also “their”, “there” and “they’re”. Everybody just uses “your” and “there”.
Stefan, your blog is great, but I just wanted to point this out.

Joliet: must have had a brain fart. thank you for catching that.

Sam: I’ll try again later today, after all it is a beta site.

Jonny: I saw the info posted everywhere and people were only posting a link back to Ricky. If he forgot to credit you then I suggest you email him. I go out of my way to link back to everything I find. You know that =P

It’s all good, brother. Even if it wasn’t, what am I gonna do? Call my lawyer for copyright infringement on finding a piece of public information and throwing it in a thread on HoFo? Ha!
