The ABBYY company and the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) corporation have announced a joint project. Starting from March 2007 a compact disc with electronic ABBYY Lingvo 12 dictionary will be enclosed with Nokia Nseries devices. The dictionary can be installed on a computer, notebook or Nokia Nseries device. The multimedia Nokia computer will contain 6mln translations and 110 dictionaries.

The disc contains a distribution package, which allows it to be installed on any Nokia Nseries device. ABBYY Lingvo 12 supports all Symbian S60 (UI 1,2,3) OS.

ABBYY Lingvo 12 “European Version” translates into Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Apart from that Lingvo contains Russian and English defining dictionaries, and dictionaries on US, UK, and Austria country studies. Besides, the programme includes Ligvo Tutor – an efficient vocabulary builder.

The limited edition of the ABBYY Lingvo 12 discs is 10 thousand. They will appear in shops in April 2007. The complete list of ABBYY Lingvo 12 dictionaries and the description of system requirements can be found on ABBYY website.
