Palm and Nokia rumors flying around again

They aren’t going to do it. Period.
I’ll be happy if I’m proved wrong however.
Palm (NSDQ: PALM) knows how to make a touch screen OS. They’ve had a decades worth of experience in that department.
Whatever the outcome may be I just want to say that a touch screen when used in combination with hard keys, like a Treo for example, is the best way of interacting with a device. I’m excited to see what S60 comes out with.
As far as I’m concerned they have a lot of catching up to do with Windows Mobile and more importantly UIQ who are rapidly growing in popularity.

I’ve heard rumours too… but just *rumours*. Might be a good move to help Nokia’s presence in U.S.
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Nokia could make an emulation layer that would make Palm applications work on S60?!
You could use your joystick to control a pointer on screen.
damn, you are the ideas guy, aren’t you?
Why would Nokia be forced to buy Palm to make that emulation layer? Can’t it be done now as things stand?
I’m sure it can, but wouldn’t it be a lot easier if you could hire the people who designed the Palm OS?
And wouldn’t these be the same people who have abjectly failed to design anything else since the Palm OS?
Not sure it would be too wise an investment unless it was for chump change.
