Red BlackBerry Pearl is coming to Cingular

Not surprisingly, RIM is keen to exploit the popularity of its Pearl model. According to Gizmodo, the Canadian company is preparing to launch a “Red Pearl”, for more fashion-aware individuals and, I guess, ladies.
It’s interesting to note that RIM succeeded where other smart device makers have failed – to bring the smartphone to the “regular Joe” consumer in the U.S. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) had similar success with its 3250 smartphone, but not in the States… Anyway, it’s good to see smartphones going beyond the geeks.
