You and I have had the ads discussion, but I will agree with you that the mobile is historically the ad-free zone. However, of any company currently working on this (Nokia's joining the ranks of Google and Yahoo and others), Nokia is the one I'd like most. Why? First of all, they recently won an award for the most discreet ads in video games. I don't have the link handy but the photo with the article showed a billboard that had to be zoomed in ALOT to be able to notice that it was Nokia. It seems as though they're more interested in the subliminal-type ads than the in-your-face.

Only time will tell, though. I agree that any company putting ads on phones should be ready to tread VERY carefully, and expect alot of push-back from consumers.
