Twitter
Can someone show me, on video, a compelling reason why I would want to use it?

Do you really care that I’m:

08:02: Eating tomatoes and feta cheese
09:34: Bored in Organic Chemistry II class
11:12: Protein bar and espresso
etc.
etc.

Jonathan Greene I’m looking straight at you.

Stefan Constantinescu

Stefan Constantinescu (@WhatTheBit on Twitter) has loved technology since as far back as he can remember. It started with computers, but in the past few years his passion has turned to mobile devices. As a mobile phone enthusiast who lives and breathes devices that connect to the internet, he knows he is not alone with this radical fascination of all things wireless. He is strongly opinionated and enjoys a good debate so leave comments in his posts and he’ll get back to you! Stefan began blogging as a hobby in the fall of 2006 and joined IntoMobile in the summer of 2007. Later he got a job at Nokia in March 2008, but as of June 2009 he has rejoined the IntoMobile team. He is currently based out of Helsinki, Finland.

Quite honestly, Stefan, I don’t get it, either. I have one, I have it on my site, and I update it frequently. And yet I don’t know why. I think it’s kinda like MySpace, though without the smut and poorly targeted ads.

There’s no real reason to start doing it, except for that others are, or just to see what it’s like. Once you give it a go, however, then you really just can’t stop, and it becomes disgustingly addicting.

I’m so addicted to twitter and I think it’s because it’s a highly accessible status message/ chat room / news source. I lIKe how it’s also both public and private if you want.

A video might not be very fun to watch, but perhaps some audio….

    we’ll talk in nyc

I think part of it has to do with how easy it is – short form blogging. Don’t have to think so much. Also – several ways to do it. Through IM, the web site, a widget like Twitteriffic, text message, etc. And if you have a few friends on Twitter, it’s kind of like keeping in touch with their lives /being more in tune to things… even if you’re too buy getting your own stuff done. At first I didn’t update it much and saw it as just another piece of code to put on my blog, but it’s kind of neat. in a small way.

Yep, that’s twitter: a blog for the A.D.D-challenged. It’s simply another uninteresting entry in American faddism; it should probably be listed between the pet rock and the hool hoop (at least the hoola hoop was fun though.)
