Yet another mid-range Walkman-branded device has been announced by Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE). In terms of distinctiveness, Sony Ericsson emphasizes the style and feel of the new device that “just begs to be touched.”.
The W660 is a classic-design 3G phone available in two colors - Record Black and Rose Red. Music lovers can count on the 512MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) supplied, that according to the specs, could hold up to 470 full-length songs in eAAC+ format.
Similarly to several of the latest Sony Ericsson Walkman phones, the W660 also features TrackID, a neat feature that allows quick identification of the track, artist and/or album. The new device can also read RSS feeds, access web pages using the built-in full HTML web browser, and gives users a Photo blogging option directly from the phone.
Finally - the specs and the availability. The Sony Ericsson W660 sports a 2 MP camera, an FM radio, and a Bluetooth connectivity support. It has dimensions of 102×46x14.5 mm and weighs 93g, and will be available in selected markets from Q2 2007.
