European Union member states get a bit of good news today. Out-of-control roaming surcharges within the EU could be reigned in as soon as June of this year. Viviane Reding, European Information and Media Commissioner, stated that she plans to cap roaming surcharges to 50 Euro cents (about 66 dollar cents). A spokesman further provided a figure of 25 euro cents as a cap for incoming calls while roaming. The European Parliament will vote at the end of May.
