As soon as I exited the Boeing 737 last night and took a breath of fresh New York City air, I knew I was home. The atmosphere, the smells, the lights, the rapid pace in ones stride and speech. This is where I grew up. This is my territory.
My best friend (Greg) came to pick me up from the airport and I’ll be staying at his place until Monday morning. Until that day comes blogging will either stop or be ridiculously slow. Multiple reasons account for this:
- Its been less than 10 days since he’s moved into a new apartment and internet access has yet to be activated. I’m using my N93i as a modem.
- I live 1500+ miles away from this guy. When you see someone like that only once or twice a year you tend to budget your time differently.
- NYC keeps you busy.
Last night I was greeted with a refrigerator full of bacon and beer. A champions feast indeed.
Today I’ll be roaming the streets of NYC with my Nokia N93i; taking as many pictures and videos as I can. Feel free to call me if you would like to hang out. If I don’t pick up I’m probably on the subway.
Tonight Nokia will be hosting "An evening with S60" at the flagship store off Broad street. The event will be live blogged so keep an eye on the Flickr group and Youtube channel.
Tomorrow Greg is taking off work, who knows what we’re going to be doing.
Saturday and Sunday have yet to be planned, but past experience tells me we’re going to be out and about until the sun rises again.
4 days with no Nokia news. I hope you’re going to be alright because I’m going to have a heart attack when I load up Google Reader Monday afternoon.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I definitely will.
