Nokia 6288China’s growing market is a place where every single handset manufacturer wants to blossom. With the salaries in China still being low (compared to those in Western countries and Japan), phone manufacturers are making special not-that-feature-rich devices for the local customers.

Latest Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s device is the 6288, a solid classic-looking tri-band GSM slider phone that packs standard Series 40 features. The 6288 has a 2.2″ QVGA (320×240 pixels) 262,144 colour display, a built-in FM radio, music player that can play MP3, AAC and eAAC+ files, and a 2 MP camera with 8X digital zoom and integrated camera flash. Furthermore, the Nokia 6288 supports miniSD memory cards for increasing capacity of the phone.

New Nokia weighs 115g and will be available at the end of this month in high gloss brilliant black. Other colors are planned to be introduced in the near future. And from Nokia’s site, we see that white 6288 will also be introduced.
