At CeBIT, Slovakia-based company, Gotive, showcased its flagship product – H42. The new device impresses with its features. It sports a 640×240 6.2″ wide touchscreen, a 384MB of memory (expandable to 1.1GB), and a bunch of connectivity options. The Gotive H42 can connect using Bluetooth, GPRS/GSM, and WLAN networks. Furthermore, this device has built-in IrDA port, a GPS, a microphone, a camera, and can even read SD and MMC memory cards.

The interesting thing is that all this is customizable. I’m still not sure what this means, but I guess that, for instance, you could pull-out the GPS chip from it. Or just use it for navigation and location-based services by pulling out the GSM module.

As Gotive aims to sell the H42’s to the industrial world, they emphasize the device’s dual battery option combined with exclusive power management software that should provide hours of uninterrupted service.
