Sony Ericsson comments the (iPhone) touchscreen
By Dusan Belic on Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 at 7:25 AM PST In Sony Ericsson, Technologies, iPhone
There’s an article on BBC that includes comments made by Gilles Oriol, product marketing manager for Western Europe at SonyEricsson, on touchscreens. Of course, the article deal with an iPhone, and how it will be difficult for Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) to take market share from the established handset manufacturers like Nokia (NYSE: NOK) and Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE).
As expected, Gilles hasn’t commented on rival products, but pointed out his doubts about the all-touchscreen devices. “Consumers are more willing to dial a number with the keyboard than they are to do it with a touchscreen,” he said. Furthermore he argued that touchscreens affect battery time, as they require that the screen remains on all the time. Interesting read. (via: Mad4MobilePhones)

Hello
I like to tell you what i experienced buying Sony erricsson mob in Middle East, I had
Bought it brand new with a warranty card of a year, but after a week it was not working
I went to the shop owner and they refused to repair it saying this is
Duplicate and they are not responsible even showed the warranty card but they say its not the one they sold me
So I have to bear the loss and after a big argument I fed up with The Sony erricsson mob. And later on came to know there are lot of complains by buyers who had gone the same way as I did. More over the accessories like memory chip, blue tooth ,charger, head set etc are more expensive comparing to nokia mobiles then So I would like to inform and ring up this matter to notice any
One who are going for Sony erricson Mob.
Thank You
Hi
I do agree with the comments regarding Sony ericsson as the stuff seems to be not worth when we pay so much and when it gets spoilt the cost of repairing is more then the new mob phone, even a small minor repairs is said to be in mother board and the entire unit is of no use when the problem is occurred and have to replace with the mother board how ever the Mob is working and for the reason of a minor problem the cost the customer have to bear more then the new Mob . so in one way I can say buying a second hand makes much sense which is much cheaper instead of repairing this
So I do advice the Sony erricson buyers think twice before the go for this and any this stuff
This
Thank You
