EA Mobile releases Tetris Multiplayer

Arguably the most popular game ever is about to hit the handset near you. In case you’re wondering, I’m talking about Tetris.

The new mobile Tetris will be a multiplayer game, allowing players to compete with one another “over the air,” regardless of their locations, using their mobile carrier’s network.

Multiplayer gaming on a title like Tetris is simple, thanks to the EA Mobile’s proprietary platform. Players can choose to play against friends or let the system select a worthy opponent. Dueling pairs can block one another’s efforts to clear lines and play on one of two multiplayer modes – “Ultra” allows gamers to race each other on a two-minute clock and “Forty Line” challenges them to clear 40 lines before their opponent.
