A European company, started by a former Nokia president, wants to give all mobile phones access to free Voice Over IP services on their planned network. Well, nothing is really free in life, and neither is this service. The VOIP service will be “free” as long as you are willing to have advertising thrown at you left and right. An acceptable price? Most likely. The service will essentially be a Skype for mobile phones, and will even be similarly named Blyk. Those of you fortunate enough to live in the EU will be able to take advantage of this service come summertime.
