Last night I applied for an internship at Nokia (NYSE: NOK).

Carol, the woman who took me for a tour of Nokia’s USA offices, gave me her support today:

Chen referred you to our company for a position of ‘Summer Intern, Strategic Projects team’ (http://careers.nokia.com/nokia/hr/recrsyst.nsf/WB2RR/47F914FD970BA3EEC225728F006FD200?OpenDocument).
If you are interested in the position, we would like you to view the
position and if interested, apply by clicking the ‘Apply’ button on the
posting. For log in, please use the same e-mail address to which this
message was sent.

Best Regards,
Nokia Human Resources

I’m ridiculously happy right about now. I hope I get in, but if I don’t at least I know that someone at Nokia trusts me enough to put their name on the line for me.

Thank you Carol. You’re a great friend and I look forward to hanging out with you again. Congratulations on your recent promotion by the way.

If I get in then you must let me take you and your husband out for dinner.

eeek, I scared myself silly. didn’t expect to see myself staring back at me on your blog

like James said, you deserve the job, or at least the chance to prove your worth, which I think you’d have no problem with once you get your foot in the door

I look forward to the dinner treat!

    Congratulations, Stefan!

You really do deserve the job and I hope Nokia quickly accepts you with high salary.

I mean, you are really enthusiastic about reading the company’s press and always comment on it. You fid the mistakes/flaws Nokia make and give suggestions to how it can improve. Your blog really shows how much you deserve to be part of the company and make it better. Besides, I think Nokia would love it that an employer blogs about the company for free. Microsoft used to hire someone to blog about it, kinda like part of the PR and I liked the idea. I really can’t see why Nokia wouldn’t hire you as a blogger along with whatever job you’re gonna have!

PS. Woah… So many posts in two days. @_@ (I went to sleepover, so I didn’t get to read this blog for two days.) You really did your promise that you’ll post a lot!

  4. Thank you guys, I honestly appreciate all the positive feedback.

    Fingers crossed here as well!
