Job Hunting: I’m open
By Stefan Constantinescu on Friday, March 23rd, 2007 at 12:03 AM PST In Blog Updates
Due to several personal and financial reasons I will be withdrawing from several (probably all) of the classes I’m taking this semester. People keep telling me to put ads on Ring Nokia (NYSE: NOK), but I promised myself I would never do such a thing.
Craigslist, Monster and Edgeio are practically my home pages since embarking on this quest for a paycheck. I call it a quest since it makes the mundane task of copy and pasting your resume and sending hundreds of emails sound more exciting. Now all I need is a princess to save, a wizard to help me complete the impossible and a legion of my fellow men to ride with me in search of honor.
What can I say? I’ve always had a thing for medieval European stories, legends and history. How can you not?
I can relocate to any city, state or country; I’ve always wanted to see the world. I don’t know how successful this post will be, but I figure it’s worth a shot to just ask. Feel free to call me or drop me an email.
I am looking forward to sitting next to you at the round table.

Good luck for your quest!
Here’s something you might find worth interest, Guy Kawasaki’s “Everything You Wanted to Know About Getting a Job in Silicon Valley But Didn’t Know Who to Ask”

Thanks Tommi!
Coming from you it means a lot. I already have that link bookmarked and memorized. One of Guy’s best blog posts last year I would say.
I’m sure you have this link bookmarked too

I believe that the recruiting process is a pain in the arse, both for the recruiters looking for good candidates, and for the candidates looking for good jobs. Unfortunately, I have no shortcuts to offer you, despite your great work with this blog. I’m not sure will you get any good job offers with this open job application, but I believe this blog, as a whole, is an excellent reference for you to use in your job applications.
Hey Stefan, are you looking for a permanent / full time job or more of a contract / internship kind of thing? Anyway, please email me your resume and we’ll discuss the details.
Cybette: You’ve got mail. As long as I can wear the Nokia colors (the position is irrelevant) then I can mingle with the rest of the employees and move up the ladder that way.
