What has James been up to with his Nokia N93, N93i and N95?

It has been a week since touching my RSS reader and boy have I missed out on a lot. James from The Creative Life blog has been quite busy. Here is what I’ve missed out on:
I’ve always been a fan of Canon cameras. They produce fantastic images and their quality is known all over the world. What happens when you pit the Nokia N93 and N93i against the Canon HV 10 and Nikon Coolpix 5000? Canon wins! There is only so much you can do with the tiny lenses on the N93 and N93i.
Want to see a video of the N93 side by side with the N93i? How about in 720p? Here is your chance to do so.
James just happened to stumbled upon a few clips he took with his N93. If you’re curious about the video quality then make sure to check them out.
What do you think is in this box?
Lucky guy got himself a Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95! Production too, not a prototype!
Speaking about prototypes, remember the huge issue surrounding the red tint in images? Here is a picture James took on a prototype Nokia N95:
Here is a production Nokia N95:
Huge improvement! Can Picasa make the colors even better?
Absolutely! Enough about color scales, how does the N95 do in real world testing? The results speak for themselves. Is this picture straight from the Nokia N95 James? No post processing? It’s beautiful:
I think Nokia did a fantastic job with fixing that red tint. These pictures have genuinely surpassed my expectations.
I only have one favor James: Take pictures of people.
Skin tones and facial detail are difficult to reproduce. Pictures of flowers, salad and coins are fine, but I’m going to use a camera to take pictures of my friends and family. I want them to look sharp and detailed.
Think you can help?

Hey Stefan, thanks for posting all this stuff here, I appreciate it!
Regarding people – The only people I see during the week (during daylight!) are my work colleagues, trust me, you don’t want to see 5 mega pixel photos of them! (^_-)
Why did you have to post the last shot?! I was so surprised at how well the production N95 did against the prototype, and then Picasa told the N95 what white really is. Still, that’s much better than if we were left with the prototype’s Mars-like pictures.
