ClassifEye, a developer of fingerprint recognition and m-commerce solutions, announced that it has joined the Symbian Platinum Program to support the growing market for Symbian smartphones by extending ClassifEye’s solution to the Symbian ecosystem.
ClassifEye’s unique, software-only, technology leverages the on-board camera for secure authentication and non-repudiation necessary for mobile commerce and other customer verification challenges. ClassifEye’s software eliminates the necessity for costly biometric hardware integration and is downloadable to existing camera smartphones.
ClassifEye’s biometric solution is designed to be used for secure mobile commerce transactions and the company will be working along with Symbian to develop and market a security infrastructure that aims to drive up ARPU for mobile carriers, cut time to market of new services and applications, and provide consumers with reliable security and identity management.
