Obviously this particular design is ugly as hell, but that’s beside the point. However, even just focusing on the form factor, I would imagine a simply slide down keyboard would be more efficient space vise, and potentially more sturdy, than the twisting-hinge in the video. Such a hinge must take quite a bit of space and be bulky for it be really robust.

I’m mixed on the keyboard. It’s great to have when you need/want it, but great to not have it most of the time since you save on size and weight. The tablet actually has a very usable on-screen keyboard for chat and email… with the stylus or with your thumbs.
